St George is shown riding a black charger and wears Roman armour and a red cloak. A section of a round shield is seen at his left side. In his right hand, St George holds a spear which divides the image diagonally from the top-left to the bottom-right. At the bottom register the dragon is shown at the intersection of two mountains, the spear piercing its mouth. The dragon’s dark cave at the bottom-left is diagonally opposite from Christ’s blessing hand at the top-right.
